Makhanlal Nannumal is one of the oldest firm involved in the processing and packaging of desi ghee, established in 1862 by Late Shri Makhanlal Ji.

From the beginning we have emphasized on our main objective of delivering pure and quality desi ghee which is now being carried forward by our 6^th generation.

Nannumal Ji’s son Late Shri Shyam Sunderlal Ji took the business to new dimensions keeping the motive to serve pure, healthy and consistent quality to it’s customers. By this time our firm Makhanlal Nannumal Desi Ghee had already reached the height of quality product with purity it’s main focus.

Shri Shyam Sunderlal Ji joined business in the age of 16 years and carried on the reputation and fame of the company. He not only served quality product to the retail customers but also expanded the business to big trading houses of Kolkata. It was the time when the army men were given food prepared in Makhanlal Nannumal Desi Ghee. For a long time M/s Makhanlal Nannunal Desi Ghee was the sole supplier of Desi Ghee to the army canteen.

Our other firm Upper India trading company was the sole agent of the government in providing Agmark Seal.

During the tenure of Shyam Sunderlal Ji his son Shri Om Prakash Agarwal took the charge of the firm and moved ahead keeping purity as our priority and introduced the ‘Nannumal Desi Ghee’ brand. His son Late Shri Sanjay Agarwal later came out with the idea of small packaging of 1ltr and 1/2 ltr tetra pack and jars.

Mrs Tulika Agarwal w/o Late Sanjay Agarwal under the guidance of Om Prakash Agarwal strongly believes in continuing the legacy of our forefathers supplying consistent quality of Desi Ghee to it’s customers.
